Creative Ways to Cross Market This Summer
As you know, typically sales for us go down during the summer. Cross marketing is the perfect way to catapult sales.
Offline IdeasTeam up with a neighborhood restaurant to host weekly networking events for local businesses. Make it fun by having themed events that celebrate different types of food – Cajun, barbecue, Mexican, Hawaiian, Caribbean, etc.
Host weekly social networking coffee and chats at a local coffee shop. Invite business owners to come out with their lap tops to learn how to use LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. It’s the perfect way for marketing, advertising, virtual assistants, etc., to stand out in their community.
Partner with local brick and mortar companies to give weekly drawings. Ask them to contribute a prize and put a box on their counter for customers to put their names in that has a slot for them to pick up a flyer which lists all of the companies offering prizes.
Online IdeasSet up a business support group on LinkedIn with five or more non-competitive companies. Each of you can invite your business associates to join your very private group to get help with their problems. Companies involved image consulting, weight loss, cosmetics, fitness, fashion, and jewelry are a perfect for this type of arrangement.
If you are into podcasting, form an alliance with other podcasters. Once a month, you can invite them to be on your show in exchange for them doing the same for you. Share info about each others’ business specials on your shows. In short, share each others’ audience to get your numbers up to attract advertisers.
Create a joint Facebook page and share the cost of advertising the page on Facebook. Take it one step further and create a joint blog for your articles, audios, and videos. Instead of posting your solo content, team up to create it. It will save you time and money.
