Marketing 2 Women International, formerly WomenPartner International, is a spin off venture of the International Virtual Women’s Chamber of Commerce that was developed to help women recession proof their companies.
It was launched by Georgia businesswoman Jerrilynn B. Thomas to reinforce her commitment to helping women think collaboratively instead of individually when it comes to growing a multimillion dollar business. Instead of just telling women that they should partner to thrive during this recession, she decided to show them partnering in action by developing a consortium that focused on cross marketing. Women who are transitioning from Corporate America to entrepreneurship will find Marketing 2 Women International extremely beneficial. Business men whose marketing focus in the women in business market will also find the consortium beneficial to their bottom line.
A consortium is an association of two or more individuals, companies, organizations or governments (or any combination of these entities) with the objective of participating in a common activity or pooling their resources for achieving a common goal. Cross-marketing at its essence is nothing more than joining forces with compatible companies so that everyone involved can more effectively capitalize on each others’ existing client base. Blending the two forms of partnering made good business sense.
Marketing 2 Women International’s focus is educating business people about the metro women in business markets in the US and other countries from the point of view of a businessperson putting together a marketing plan and assisting them with developing cross marketing partnerships with the business, executive, and professional women who reside in the metro areas they want to tap into.
Marketing 2 Women International is launching cross marketing consortiums in cities around the globe as part of its Cross Marketing Across America campaign to facilitate collaborative business relationships between Main Street America and online business women.
With the economy sinking deeper into a recession, Marketing 2 Women International’s plan to strengthen metropolitan women in business markets includes helping female college graduates find local businesswomen who can mentor and cross market with them to launch their own businesses. It also includes complimentary business partner matchmaking events and publishing directories for each metro market that showcases women who are receptive to cross marketing to ensure business and professional women can afford to keep their doors open. Annual women’s business award ceremonies for each state and international market to recognize women who develop innovative cross marketing partnerships rounds out it plan.
Membership in at least one local business organization and the ability to contribute $50 monthly to the advertising pool are required to become a part of Marketing 2 Women International. Most of our monthly cross marketing projects require only a $50 or less investment.
As a part of Marketing 2 Women International, you will do four things …
- Pool your resources to co-sponsor major women’s business conferences and purchase online advertising from the top search engines and social media sites so you can strategically expand your client base throughout every US and international metropolitan area.
- Create joint marketing collateral materials for you and your international group members to distribute every month when you attend your local women’s group meetings so you can attract new female clients in each others’ metropolitan areas. Example: Business woman in Atlanta will pass out info to the members of Atlanta eWomen Network while a woman in Ontario passes out the same into the members of local chamber of commerce.
- Have clients funneled to you by other Marketing 2 Women International business associates to keep your pipelines full.
- Work together to “man” the Marketing 2 Women Business Center in your region by providing your products and services to the Center’s members and visitors. Not only will you help women in your region thrive during and beyond this recession, you will serve as a door openers for women from other US and international metropolitan areas who want to tap into your local women in business market by utilizing your products and services.
